The Nefritit lift uses botulinum injections to relax the DAO and platysma muscles. This relaxes the downward pull on the jaw and lower face to allow the elevator muscles to increase tone and thus give a lifting effect. As the years have passed I feel that this is a very worthwhile treatment because it prevents sagging and blunting of the jawline and also the formation of platysmal bands(those stringy bands that Deirdre Barlow suffered from). These muscles become overactive as we age and damage our necks and jawlines.

The Nefrititi lift slows down ageing in this area. It also reduces the downward pull of muscles at the angle of the mouth that create Marionette lines(Angela Merkel style). I’ve been performing Nefrititi lifts for 15 years but have really become a big advocate of them in recent years because I feel they play an integral part in antiageing. Great care has to be taken as you don’t want to inject too much botulinum in the wrong area as that would affect swallowing.
