Anti-Wrinkle Injections

  • sc-face-4

At the skin clinic we use anti-wrinkle injections for cosmetic reasons and for others reasons such as increased sweating and teeth-grinding.

The main cosmetic uses of anti-wrinkle injections are for lines and wrinkles of the forehead, frown and eye areas. We also can treat the lower face with these injections and have performed many ‘nefrititi lifts’ at our clinic. We also treat platysmal bands which are those annoying stringy bands that run down the neck especially in women with slender necks.

Anti-wrinkle injections are especially effective for a brow-lift. By careful injection at specific points we obtain a significant lift which is refreshing and rejuvenating. It also avoids the need for brow lift surgery which is complex surgery.

Dr Murphy has used anti-wrinkle treatments for 11 years. It is important that you find an experienced injector as this is a powerful product and if it is injected in the wrong place it can cause problems which last months.

Our prices start from €180. It is important that the doctor injects adequate amounts of the treatment. At the Skin Clinic we do not skimp on product. Of course it would be easy to inject less and many clinics do this. Unfortunately for the patient, they will find that the effect just doesn’t last very long and they end up paying more in the medium to long-term.
Some patient’s want a more natural effect and others want a stronger effect. We can do either for our clients.

We frequently review our clients after 3weeks as sometimes a tweak is needed. This is best international practice. We do not charge for this review.
This type of treatment is also used successfully for underarm sweating.

Interestingly Dr. Murphy has used this treatment for teeth-grinding with excellent results. We feel that it may be the most physiological of treatments for teeth-grinding. Importantly the injections require a very precise technique as there are significant structures to be identified. This technique is not for the novice injector. Experience is most definitely required.

We usually advise that clients consider combination treatment with fillers at the same time or after they get anti-wrinkle injections. Combination treatment definitely augments the effect.
